REQUEST EXPEDITE COMMISSIONING OF
TRANSFORMER @ KAYAPADI
under vellanad section, thiruvananthapuram Dt.

as explained in the various letters ( including my letter no.201106/kseb/a dt. June 17, 2011 to the member distribution, handed over in person to the member's office ) and eMails and as evidenced by the accompanying photographs, the voltage of power supplied by the kseb over here is a disgrace to any civilised set up.

the installation of a transformer at kayapadi would have brought enormous relief to the locality. It was with a sigh of relief that ordinary mortals like me saw the work on the installation starting at last - the transformer had already been sanctioned long back..

But even after almost three months of starting work on the installation of the transformer, all that we have at the moment are the repeated shut offs of even the extremely low voltage current for most part of the day.

I am afraid the concerned authorities are dragging their feet on the matter.

IT SEEMS TO BE AN ENDLESS WAIT!
Could somebody, please, look into the matter and
COMMISSION THE TRANSFORMER WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY ?

IN ACTION ON
A. COMPLAINT REGARDING EXCESS BILLING
bill no.273019 dt. 04.08.2011, consumer no.16209-0 and
B. VOLTAGE PROBLEM

A. I. please refer
a. Consumer no.16209-0
b. bill no.273019 dt. 04.08.2011 and
c. my letter No.201108/ele/a dt. August 31, 2011 to the ae, vellanad.
i) At the time of issuing the above bill, the reading was not available because what you have installed was a non-functioning meter ( and NOT due to any mistake of mine). Under the circumstances, I would have expected to be charged the minimum rates for the connection.
ii) However I have been given a highly exaggerated bill based on the total load connected.
iii) The above is in spite of the fact, that the voltage of the current supplied by you cannot support anything other than a fluorescent tube with an electronic choke and, that I am paying at the higher rate for construction purposes.
iv) Also, I have been charged for the whole two months where as the connection as far as I remember was established only on june 16, 2011.
v) I was given a verbal assurance that the bill will be adjusted based on the usage for the following months. But as far as my information goes no action has been taken on the matter till date even in the bill that followed.
      1. this is to request of you again to refund the extra amount taken from me without further delay.

B. as elaborated in my earlier letters, the voltage of electricity supplied here by kseb is a disgrace to any civilised set up.
And you, I am afraid, rather than expediting the procedure, have been dragging your feet ( for almost three months now ? ) on the installation of a transformer at kayapadi which could have brought enormous relief to the locality – a pity indeed.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

" SECURITY" POWER CUT
There is no powersupply- I am on batteries of my netbook. Yesterday around 10am the power was switched off it looks. I left for trivandrum around noon and came back by past 2100hrs. And throughout the night the power line was off – not only in my house in the whole area.

thank you very much

HAPPY ENDING
the work on installing a transformer in the close proximity has been going on at full pace for the last two weeks or so - there is hope.
at the moment there is a problem with the line being cut off for most of the day time when the wiring work is going on; but that is all for a better tomorrow.
thank goodness! i sincerely hope that i will no more be able to make movie clips like the one you see above from the very near future onwards.

JUST 70 ( seventy only ) VOLTS !
POWER SUPPLY AT VALIYAVILA REGION OF VELLANAD SECTION
CONSUMER NO.16209-0 KSEB
* * *
Sir,
please refer my letter no.201106/kseb/a dated june 17, 2011 regarding the low voltage problem faced by your conusmers in the valiyavilla region of vellanad section handed over, in view of your absence, to your PA in person on the same day.

I am yet to get any response whatsoever from the concerned authorities on the matter.

Meanwhile the situation here is getting from bad to worse. The maximum voltage of the current supply recorded by me over here is 170 volts - that was during the day time, at about 1030AM.

The average night time voltage is around 115 volts with the lowest recorded being 70 volts - NOT 170 volts but just 70 (seventy) volts!

Please see that I have graphic evidence to prove my above statements regarding the voltage.

I intend to pursue the matter further, initially with a petition to the consumer disputes redressal forum of the kseb and would consider myself free to do so if the voltage is not brought to acceptable levels within a week.
Yours faithfully

SOS
EXTREME LOW VOLTAGE PROBLEM AT VALIYAVILLA ( KSEB VELLANAD)

Sir,
Since the evening of 15 june 2011 the voltage of the power supply to valiyavila area coming under vellanad electrical section dipped so low, none of the equipments will function except some cfls. This situation persisted for the whole of the following day and later in the night of 16 june 2011 the voltage dipped so drastically, that even the best cfls will not function leave alone any household appliances including the fridge which is a sort of essential appliance. Also this place is a remote rocky area and has no public water supply. One has to perforce depend on borewells for water which invariably has to be pumped using electricity.

With this sort of low voltage life literally comes to a standstill; and as on today the situation is persisting. I am given to understand that this sort of fluctuations are a regular feature of this area.

I would request of you to look into the matter and resolve the issue at the earliest.

Yours faithfully
